Mr. Janak Shah, Chairman and Managing Director and Mrs. Maya Shah, Executive Director are the key founders of the company. Being Pharmacy graduates, they envisioned working on Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS), which was considered as niche area in the '80s compared to the conventional formulations. With strong belief in their vision and support of few committed team members, they laid the foundation of Themis Laboratories in 1985, now known as Inventia Healthcare.
Inventia today is known for many breakthroughs in drug delivery technologies and is considered as one of lead players in Novel Drug Delivery segment in India. Janak Shah and Maya Shah continue to play an active role towards attaining the vision of the company.
Dr. Ankur Shah, Executive Director is a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics. He currently heads
the Business Development & Strategy to accentuate focus on current and
new business opportunities.
Mr. Vishal Shah, Executive Director, obtained his Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and an MBA from the Cox School of Business. He has 10 years of professional experience in the areas of Quality Management, Process Engineering and Project Management. He has exposure to processes like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. His inclusion in the Top Management team, further bolsters Manufacturing and Supply Chain which he shall be handling.
Mr. Sunil Chawla, nominee director of NYLIM Jacob Ballas India Fund III LLC, is a Partner at Jacob Ballas Capital India Limited - a premier private equity firm that advises three India Funds with total assets under management of more than USD 600 million, and New York Life Insurance Company as the anchor investor. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of functional experience in Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, M&A and Corporate Advisory, Investment Advisory and Management, Assurance, Taxation, Accounting and Project Finance and monitoring.
Sunil’s previous assignment was with Tata Finance Limited – at that time India’s largest non-banking finance company – as Head of Corporate Finance for North India. Before that he spent two years with International Development Research Centre (IDRC), a Canadian research funding organization, as Regional Finance and Administration Manager, at its South Asia Regional Office in New Delhi.
Dr. Prabuddha Ganguli, Independent Director, is a PhD. in Chemical Physics
from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has overall 33 years of
experience in research and industry with immense expertise in areas of
IPR, Information Risk Management, Cyber Security and Knowledge Management. He worked for two decades in Hindustan Lever in diverse managerial roles
including R&D, Technology Assessment, Forecasting and Transfer,
Patents & Knowledge Management, Factory Management and Business
Planning. He is a leading qualified Patent Agent in India. He has been
recipient of several prestigious national and international awards and
has authored over 60 publications and 5 books.
Mr. A. S. Krishna, Additional Independent Director, is currently working with L’Oreal and is responsible for the management of Scientific Affairs. He holds MSc degree and has more than 25 year of experience as a professional. Mr. A. S. Krishna has been associated with various companies such as TATA Group, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, MSD and Ranbaxy.
Mr. Nagesh Pinge is a Chartered Accountant and Law Graduate from India. He has also completed Executive Education Program from The Stephen M Ross School of Business of the University of Michigan, USA. Mr. Pinge is an Expert in Ethics, Corporate Governance, Risk Management & Internal Audit. In a career spanning 35 years, Pinge has worked with many organizations of repute. He retired from Tata Motors in November 2016 as “Chief-Internal Audit, Risk Management & Ethics”. Prior to that he was Chief Internal Audit of Reliance Retail Ltd & JSW Steel Ltd. Mr. Pinge has also worked for ICICI Bank & its Group Companies in Risk Management (Chief Risk Officer), Regulatory Compliance and Internal Audit (Group Head-Internal Audit). He is currently an Advisor to Bangalore International Airport Limited, (Recently acquired by Fairfax Canada).
Mr. Nipun Mehta is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Mehta brings more than 3 decades of experience across Equity Markets, Private Banking & Wealth Management. He is the Founder & CEO at BlueOcean Capital Advisors, a Multi Family Office. He has held senior/ leadership positions across well-known domestic and global companies including the IL&FS group, Edelweiss Financial Services, Societe Generale etc. Mr. Mehta is known to be one of the pioneering individuals of the Asset Management & Wealth Management industry in India. He is currently the proprietor of BlueOcean Capital Advisors.
Mr. Ved Jain is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for more than four decades. He also holds Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Bachelors of Law. He has served as President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He was assigned the job of reviving/ managing the two associate companies of Satyam and was appointed Government Nominee Director on the board of MAYTAS Infra Limited now renamed as IL&FS Engineering & Construction Limited and MAYTAS Properties Limited. He has been on the Board of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). On corporate forum he has been Founder Board Member of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, set up by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. He has been Chairman of National Council on Direct Taxes of ASSOCHAM and Vice President, ASSOCHAM. He has been on the Board of National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), PTC India Limited, PTC Financial Services Limited and IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd.
He has more than four decades of experience on advising corporates on finance and taxation matters. Mr. Jain specializes in Direct Taxes and has handled complicated tax matters, appeals and tax planning of big corporates.
He is regularly involved in the consultation process of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs and member of various expert committees/panel constituted by the Government of India for fiscal and commercial legislations.
Mr. Nayan Joshi, Director, is a Science Graduate with over 25 years of experience in chemical and instruments, microbiology, capsules, tablets and liquids. He is a key member having been associated with the Company since inception. He has been instrumental in building our capabilities in Supply Chain. He currently heads the Technical Services.
Mr. Naresh Shah, Chief Operating Officer, is a Science Graduate with over 32 years of experience with pharmaceutical companies like Glaxo, Cadila, Unichem, Ranbaxy and Zydus Cadila, having held senior positions in India and abroad. He has been instrumental in building our marketing capabilities in India and abroad.
Mr. Hemendra Shah, Chief Financial Officer, is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience. He is associated with the Company since its inception. He has been instrumental in building strong Corporate Governance, fiscal discipline and systems and technology.
Mrs. Vaibhavi Shah, Director, is a Post Graduate in Pharmaceutics. She heads the Research & Development along with Regulatory Affairs. She plays a strategic role in the deliverables of R&D projects and filing of dossiers across all markets.
Mrs. Rajat Shah leads Inventia's long-term technology vision and is responsible for the company's information technology projects. She holds a MSc. in Computer Science and Engineering, a MBA in Strategy and Marketing and more than 15 years of experience leading IT teams and organisations.
